DIY Beauty Products: Natural Ingredients to Rejuvenate Your Skin

Whether you’re on a budget or you just prefer to make your own beauty products, there are some great natural products that you can make for your face and body in the comfort of your own home. Some of the products you probably already have in your home, so you can begin making your beauty essentials immediately.

DIY Hair Conditioner

While most women and men purchase hair conditioner from the store, you can make your own wonderful hair conditioner with one egg, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and one peeled cucumber. Place all of these ingredients in a blender, and then experiment with your new DIY conditioner on freshly shampooed hair. You can also leave this hair conditioner on longer than a traditional conditioner, for 10 to 20 minutes to see the best results.

DIY Facial Mask

One of the best facial masks to brighten up your complexion and create a more even skin tone only involves using blueberries and sour cream. Use about 1 tablespoon of sour cream and mash as many blueberries as you want (about 10) in a small mixing cup. You can mash the blueberries with a fork or use a blender to achieve the desired result. After it’s finished, apply the mixture to your face, and let it set for 15-30 minutes. Once you remove it, you will see a fresh, even skin tone just from using blueberries and sour cream.

DIY Facial Moisturizer

Moisturizers can be expensive, and nature has given all of the ingredients necessary to create a great moisturizer using natural products at home. Combine half a banana, one tablespoon of honey, and one tablespoon of yogurt and stir until they are all mixed together. You can smooth this combination on your face and leave it to set for 15-20 minutes before removing to reveal hydrated, fresh skin underneath.

DIY Lip Exfoliator

With this, you will be able to remove dead skin from your lips to create a softer, smoother pout. Simply combine 1/4th of a teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of mayonnaise, and 1/4th teaspoon of lemon juice together. Mix these ingredients until they are well combined and then gently smooth them onto your lips in a circular motion with your finger or toothbrush.

DIY At Home Facial

Instead of taking an expensive trip to the salon, you can make some products at home that will naturally remove dead skin and act as a great exfoliator. To crate the exfoliating effect, use ½ teaspoon of Epsom salt and combine that with your favorite store-bought or natural cleansing cream. Apply liberally onto skin massaging gently to loose dead skin. Allow to soak on your face for 1-2 minutes before removing, and then rinse with fresh, clean water.

These DIY home beauty products are a great way to utilize products that you already have in your home to revitalize your face and body and to give yourself a natural, healthy glow.
